making something new out of something very old.

i’ve been writing on the internet for nearly half my life. my body aches, injuries have amassed in a tree-diagram of ailments, and mental agonies will haunt me until my heart beats its last beat.

but the desire inside me to keep writing, which has seen its ebbs and flows, has never permanently ceased. seeing my skills dampen would suggest that i should hang it up and throw in the towel. if anything, i’m still chasing the high of producing something i’m proud of. is it capturing lightening in a bottle? i’ve never been remotely closed. call it delusional. call it fate. but i’m still chasing after that feeling.
